Although the calendar indicates we have only officially been in summer for a few weeks, many of us have been enjoying summer activities since at least Memorial Day. Whether your idea of a perfect summer day is spending it at the beach, the pool, a barbecue, in the garden, or just kicking back in the hammock all afternoon, summer is the perfect time to unwind, especially after the year we had.
Squeeze in some summer maintenance
Summer is also the perfect time for equipment maintenance. While print and bindery work slows down over the next couple of months, take advantage of the lull to get ready for the busy period ahead. Do a thorough review of your machines, crack open those parts books, and pull together a parts list so you and your machine will be ready to go for the busy season ahead. It’s better to take care of these matters now rather than run into trouble in the middle of a big job.
